CARNEGIE SCIENCE CENTER

"Where Science Happens!"  Four floors of interactive, hands-on exhibits, three science demonstration theaters, state-of-the-art Buhl Planetarium, Rangos OMNIMAX Theater, ever-changing Special Exhibit Gallery, Miniature Railroad & Village (late November through August), popular sports-themed UPMC SportsWorks exhibit, and more--all at our closest next-door neighbor!

CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF PITTSBURGH

Recently expanded award winning museum that's not just for kids!  Learners of all ages can explore The Attic, The Garage Workshop, The Studio, and our favorite--Waterplay!

NATIONAL AVIARY

The National Aviary is America's only independent indoor nonprofit "bird zoo,"and is home to more than 600 birds that respresent over 200 species. Daily scheduled demonstrations and feedings, and specially scheduled group tours and interactive experiences are availabl.  Check out the National Aviary's website for pictures, program descriptions, and details on how to visit.

THE MATTRESS FACTORY

The Mattress Factory offers guided group visits for all ages, with a variety of programs to choose from. Group visits provide a framework for observing, thinking about, and understanding the creative process that artists undertake to create new work and develop new practices at the Mattress Factory. Open Tuesday through Friday, 10:00-5:00, plus weekends.

THE ANDY WARHOL MUSEUM

Tours and Workshops at The Warhol emphasize interdisciplinary education and the role of art and artists in education. Tours and workshops explore Warhol's art and practice, the social and cultural context of his work, and connections to contemporary themes and participant's own experiences. Museum educators work with groups to provide age-appropriate tours and activities. Closed Mondays.

HEINZ FIELD TOURS

Since 2001, Heinz Field has provided a thrilling, behind-the-scenes view of the Steelers and Panthers football teams to thousands of visitors of all ages. Tours of Heinz Field provide guests with a behind-the-scenes look into the Coca-Cola Great Hall, Clubs, Luxury Suites, Press Box, Field, South Plaza, and much more! 2007 Tours run through Friday, October 26, 2007.

PNC PARK TOURS

The home of the Pirates is located on Pittsburgh's North Shore along the Allegheny River, in a street block between Federal Street, General Robinson Street and Mazeroski Way. Interactive tours give a broad view of the Park with its classic view of the city's picturesque skyline from the BEST BALLPARK in AMERICA.  2007 Tours run through Saturday, September 29, 2007.
