Through the generosity of regional foundations, corporations, and people like you, RiverQuest is able to serve over 4,700 students this fall in hands-on environmental science education programs.
You can help RiverQuest continue this effort in 2012!
Your donation can help offset the fieldtrip costs, or even help offset the school bus and substitute costs that schools must cover on fieldtrip days. Saturday, March 24, 2012 -- 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
ALCOSAN is hosting a FREE educators' workshop in partnership with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy on Using Parks as Classrooms. Participants discuss how to provide effective environmental education that aligns with the PA Academic Standards, discover how our parks and watersheds are urban ecosystems through hands-on activities, and review a case study from Perry High School Urban EcoStewards program at nearby Riverview Park. To register, visit www.alcosan.org, or call Erica LeMar at 412-732-8027.
